Erwin is a graduate of Governors State University. He met his wife, Roberta, while in high school. They have been married for over 55 years and have two children -Therese and Mark. Over the years he was employed as a chemical lab technician, research chemist, analytical chemist, and laboratory manager. He retired from the U.S. Army with 22+ years of service to our country. In 1994 Erwin and his family relocated to Monee and St. Boniface from St. John Parish in Glenwood, IL, where he served as Director of Religious Education for eight years. Erwin, at one time, was active in the Village of Monee as a member and Chairperson of the Planning and Zoning Committee. He is a Certified Minister of Care through the Diocese of Joliet. His devotes his time in the office at St. Boniface interfacing with the diocese, managing the ministry training and scheduling, and assisting with various administrative functions. He is also Parish Council President.
